Jaffray Hospital then and now…….

18 March 2024

Built in 1885 with help from John Jaffray, the hospital took chronic cases transferred from Birmingham General Hospital.  It latterly housed EMI patients, and was closed around 1991 and demolished in 1994.

Jaffray Nursing Home opened its doors in 1991 and was built in the grounds at the front of the hospital and continues the good work today.
